Hi, I’m Jo Lyn Cornelsen, creator of Care Home America. My years as a care facility owner and trainer, plus the personal years of caring for my own elderly family members have taught me the highs, lows, in’s and out’s of caregiving.
Care giving is demanding – and the challenges can bring out the best… and the worst in us. Too often, caregiving is a solitary experience, and it’s easy to become just as isolated as the person you care for.
Care Home America is designed to help you know that you you are not alone in your quest to make the best of things.
Aging and disabilities touch everyone. We all grow old… we all are subject to pain, illness or disability just from the fact that we are here in this world, experiencing what it means to be a human being. But that human frailty does not have to mean misery or burnout.
